Interpreter Assignment Messaging Program · Last updated: July 30, 2026
Minnesota Language Bridge ("MLB," "we," "us") operates an SMS messaging program that notifies contracted interpreters of available interpreting assignments. Messages contain the assignment logistics — language needed, date, time, duration, service format, and facility — and ask the recipient to accept or decline. Recipients reply YES to accept an assignment or NO to pass.
Only interpreters who have applied to join our network and expressly consented to receive text messages. This is not a marketing or promotional program, and we do not send advertising by SMS.
Interpreters opt in by submitting the application form at mnlanguagebridge.com/join and checking the SMS consent box, which reads:
Consent may also be given in a signed contractor agreement or verbally, in which case we record how and when consent was obtained. Consent is never a condition of applying to our network, of being assigned work, or of receiving any service from us.
Message frequency varies. The number of messages an interpreter receives depends on how many assignments match their languages, credentials, and availability. Interpreters in high-demand languages may receive several messages per week; others may receive none for extended periods.
Reply STOP to any message at any time. We also honour UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, and REVOKE. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. Opting out removes you from all assignment messaging; you may still be contacted by phone or email about work.
To resume messages later, reply START or contact us.
Reply HELP to any message for program information and our contact details, or reach us directly at info@mnlanguagebridge.com or (612) 399-6879.
Messages in this program contain appointment logistics only. They never contain patient names, diagnoses, or any other protected health information. This is a deliberate design constraint of our dispatch system, consistent with the HIPAA minimum-necessary principle.
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and other US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed; if you do not receive an expected message, contact us by phone.
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance.
