What We Do

Interpreting that meets
people where they are.

We match trained interpreters to the moment — a clinic visit, a benefits appointment, a phone call that can't wait for someone to find the right words.

Healthcare Interpreting

Clinic visits, hospital stays, mental health appointments, and follow-up calls — interpreters trained to handle medical terminology with accuracy and care.

Social Services Interpreting

Benefits enrollment, housing appointments, school meetings, and case management — helping families access services without a language gap standing in the way.

Legal Interpreting

Court proceedings, attorney meetings, depositions, and legal consultations — precise interpreting where every word carries legal weight, by interpreters credentialed on the Minnesota Judicial Branch roster.

Document Translation

Forms, letters, and written materials translated clearly and accurately, so paperwork never becomes another barrier for the people you serve.

40-Hour Interpreter Training

We train bilingual community members into professional interpreters — our 40-hour program covers ethics, terminology, and technique, the industry-standard credential for community and medical interpreting.

How It Works

Three steps to a
fully interpreted conversation.

1
Request
Call, email, or submit a request with your language, timing, and appointment details.
2
Match
Our dispatch system reaches qualified interpreters instantly — and a person reviews every sensitive assignment.
3
Connect
Your interpreter joins by phone, video, or in person — confirmed, reminded, and ready before the conversation begins.

Why Minnesota Language Bridge

Built to close the
distance, not widen it.

Minnesota Language Bridge was founded on a simple idea: no one should struggle to be understood in a hospital room, a courtroom, or a benefits office. We work directly with organizations to make interpreting reliable, respectful, and easy to request — every time.

🤝
Trained & Vetted Interpreters
No interpreter takes an assignment for us until they have cleared our vetting: verified identity, assessed language proficiency, professional training, HIPAA training, and a signed confidentiality agreement.
⏱️
Fast Turnaround
Urgent requests are handled quickly — we understand appointments don't wait.
🔒
Confidential by Default
Every session is treated with the discretion healthcare and social service settings require — and our request system collects appointment logistics only, never medical details.
📈
Built to Scale
In-house depth in East African languages and Spanish, and a vetted partner network for everything else — so one request covers whatever language walks through your door.

Trusted Compliance Standards

The boxes your compliance
team needs checked — checked.

Language access in healthcare and government settings is regulated, audited, and reimbursed according to specific standards. We built our operation — and our dispatch technology — around them.

MDH Interpreter Roster

In-person medical assignments are dispatched only to interpreters enrolled on the Minnesota Department of Health Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster — the requirement for Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare billing. Enrollment is verified and recorded before an interpreter is activated, and our dispatch system will not offer in-person medical work to anyone without it.
